A Prayer vigil at Memphis City Council was sponsored by the Workers Interfaith Network calling on the city's elected officials to uphold the city union's MOU and restore the 4.6% pay reduction.

The Great Ford/Wharton Debate
The Great Debate was hosted at L1733 for Mayoral Candidate Ford and Mayor Wharton, over 300 people attended the debate but Mayor Wharton was a NO SHOW.

Joining together to stop the consolidation of Memphis and Shelby county, AFSCME International Sec-Treas. Lee Saunders invited Rev. Sharpton October 28, to spread the word to voters that such a move would hurt the city.
