New Website Tracks Recovery Act Impact

Contrary to critics who downplay the importance of federal aid and would have turned away this money, Recovery Act dollars have made a big difference for Wisconsin. 

The Act cut taxes by $5 billion, saved 60,000 jobs, financed small businesses and helped state and local governments protect services and infrastructure.??

But the economy is still fragile. Far too many people are out of work. Local governments are running out of money. Vital state, local and school programs will collapse if federal aid runs out.??
