The clean and safe water that you brushed your teeth with. The bus that picked your kids up for school. Our taxes make all of these public services — and so much more — possible. They make our communities possible. And we're proud to invest in our common good. ![]() Council 4 is pushing for a fair budget that asks for shared sacrifice from Connecticut's wealthiest citizens and largest corporations. On May 8, 2013 AFSCME Council 4 will have its annual lobby day at the Old Judiciary Room at the State Capital Building. It will be a chance to speak with your representatives and tell them to stop the attacks against public employees pay, healthcare and pension; raise minimum wage levels and expand retirement security for all workers.
